As the site grew, it expanded to include a complete review database as well as regular columns including:

The DVD Savant and Anime Talk. To date, DVD Talk has over 50 writers and contributors who do DVD reviews, interviews, features, columns and more and a database of over 14,000 reviews for Region 1 DVDs.

DVD Talk can also be heard on two Oregon Radio stations in the morning, 1190AM KEX and 94.7FM KNRK. In 2004, it also launched an online radio/podcast called DVD Talk Radio.

Even though DVD Talk has grown to be a top online DVD Site and a widely read DVD publication it still takes a very artisan approach, encouraging reader feedback, comments and suggestions.

DVD Talk is also a "Green Business". The site and company is run in the most environmentally friendly and sustainable way possible.

This is one of the reasons they don't have a printed companion magazine. DVD Talk not only recycles just about everything they dispose of but re-use whenever possible.

Whenever and wherever possible DVD Talk works with small independently owned and run businesses, including the site's webhost.

DVD Talk also has an ongoing commitment to independent film and film makers and often helps subsidize advertising and promotion for independent film companies who could not otherwise afford to advertise their films.

DVD Talk

DVD Talk is a website for DVD enthusiasts founded in January 1999 when DVDs and DVD players were first beginning to hit the market. The site was started by Geoffrey Kleinman with the purpose of creating an online resource to help people decide what to watch on DVD.

The site started in January 1999 as an online forum, an email newsletter, and a page of DVD news and reviews. Membership to the DVD Talk Forum quickly grew as did the DVD Talk Newsletter, making the site one of the most widely read DVD publication of its kind. Today, the forum has over 58,000 registered members.
